Rising cost of fuel

Latest News
Fuel Price graph

The rising price of crude oil fuelled by the war in Ukraine is having a very immediate and detrimental effect on our operating costs. We have seen a 28% increase in fuel costs at the marina fuel pumps within the last few weeks. Whilst we endeavour to provide our courses at very competitive rates we are at the point where a fuel surcharge will need to be added to our course prices.

Within the space of a week the cost of crude oil rocketed to around $126 a barrel driving petrol and diesel prices up sharply. On March the 14th 2022 the price of Brent Crude Oil fell back down to around $106 but that price drop will take some time to filter through the system to the point where we see a drop in fuel prices at the marina fuel pumps and the forecourts.

As soon as fuel price stabilise and we see pump prices return to normal we will remove the surcharge and return to offering the best price we can.
