Skippered Charter
Mendez Marine would like to introduce our school boat Fenland Dancer. Fenland Dancer is a Princess 368 Motor Cruiser with twin Cummins 300hp engines powering shafts. Fenland Dancer is a great boat for both beginners and experienced boaters alike. The flybridge gives excellent all round visibility making manoeuvring and berthing much easier and gives a fantastic feeling of freedom when cruising. However on the wet miserable days when you want / need to skipper from the lower helm you will find that she has good indoor visibility. The cabin is warm and comfortable with on board heating and access to the stash of biscuits! She is well equipped with modern Raymarine Axiom navigation equipment, including Quantum 2 radar and AIS. She is a very capable cruising boat happy to cruise at slow speeds and 28knots.
Hiring Fenland Dancer with a skipper can cover a variety of opportunities:
- Day out on ‘The Solent’ with a visit to The Hut or any other restaurants on the Isle of Wight, Lymington, Beaulieu or Gunwharf, or picnic on board whilst at anchor.
- “Try before you buy” Or Staycation – one or two day charter where we berth overnight at East Cowes Marina and leave you on board to enjoy the whole boating experience. Opportunity during the days out to visit other Marina’s and have a go at driving.
- Evening trip within The Solent. Stopping for dinner at a Marina or picnic on board whilst at anchor.
- Practice skills previously taught on an RYA course – prepare your own passage and execute to visit other marinas to practice pilotage
- Learn additional skills to help you move through the RYA syllabus – night opportunities available.
Skippered Charter
To charter “Fenland Dancer’ for the day (Maximum 6 people) costs as follows:
Week Days, 10am – 6pm – £1000, Skipper, Crew and light snacks.
Weekends, 10am – 6pm – £1200, Skipper, Crew and light snacks.
Evening, 4pm – 9pm – £600, Skipper, Crew and light snacks.
Trips outside of the Solent can be considered – additional fuel costs will be incurred and
Skippered Charter – You charter the boat, we provide the skipper and you enjoy a day out on the water. For some, that is a run down to the Needles and lunch at ‘The Hut’ or a day exploring all that the Solent has to offer, i.e. a trip up Beaulieu River, lunch in Newtown Creek, shopping in Gunwharf.
