Own Boat RYA Courses

We actively encourage clients to enjoy tuition on their own boat if they already have one.  We appreciate the investment you have made, so be it a RIB or a 23 metre Fly Bridge Motor cruiser, and anything in between, our aim is to help you enjoy your boat by becoming more confident and safe.

We offer the full range of appropriate RYA Practical courses on your boat.

RYA Powerboat courses (maximum 3 people)

Up to 10m, Single engine day boat, sportsboat or RIB:

• RYA Powerboat Level 1
• RYA Powerboat Level 2
• RYA Intermediate
• RYA Advanced Powerboat

RYA Motor Cruising courses (maximum 4 people)

From 8.5m – 24m, single or twin engine, with living including toilets, kitchen and bedroom:

• RYA Helmsman,
• RYA Day Skipper
• RYA Coastal Skipper Practical,
• RYA Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore

We charge a standard £330 per day for own boat tuition which includes relevant books and certificates, and can train up to the maximum number of people within that price. 

Training Abroad

We are happy to travel abroad to teach you, at a day rate of £500 per day. Travel expenses will be charged at cost with travel days charged at £200 per day including subsistence payable up front.  The client is responsible for instructor accommodation,  meals, snacks and beverages during the course / training.
