Mendez Marine are pleased to be able to offer VHF Refresher courses in our new classroom at Deacons Marina, Swanwick. This course is for anyone who has already completed an RYA VHF/DSC course and holds a VHF licence. No tests, no exams just an ideal opportunity to use training radios, work through scenarios for routine, urgency, safety and distress calls and refreshing your understanding of the DSC capability of your VHF radio whilst under the expert tuition of an RYA SRC/VHF instructor.

These refresher courses are approx 4 hours in duration and each scheduled course will offer a choice of morning or afternoon sessions. We intend to limit the attendance numbers to a maximum of six people per session to ensure maximum student/instructor engagement.

This could be an ideal time to update yourself on any changes to VHF procedure. Remind yourself of the many pro-words and VHF channels available for use etc.

Your radios Digital Selective Calling (DSC) functionality extends beyond sending a DSC Distress alert so why not find out more about DSC and learn to use the full capability of you VHF equipment.
