After spending 20 years in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market, Tom decided to take his love of boating onto the water full time and become an instructor. He teaches the powerboat and motor cruising schemes and also holds the LKE for the River Thames where he skippers commercially”

Tom has run a few courses on our school boats and on students boats and we have received excellent feedback on his calm manner, instructional technique and knowledge.

Would just like to add, we were very impressed with Tom, we learned so much in just 2 days and he was a friendly, patient and kind instructor. He stepped back and let us find our own way for some things but was right there if we needed him which boosted our confidence greatly and we were so thankful to have him on board when it all went a bit wrong.  We will be more than happy to have him back if we decide to undertake further own boat training.
